In unit 20 of SUPERKIDS we are learning about the weather. We have been talking about all of the different kinds of weather we see in Newmarket as well as other types of weather. We spent our rainy Wednesday making rain paintings and dressing our people up to be pretend for lots of rainy weather!
We were very lucky to have the 39th Army Band play a concert for us! They played lots of fun songs that we got to dance to!
To honor the Winter Olympics taking place, NES has started its own Kindness Olympics! All the classrooms made their own flags to show kindness. We got together as a whole school to share and learn about how we can all be kind!
We have met all of our SUPERKIDS but now we get to watch and learn through all of the adventures they have together! Our newest unit is called "All Of Us" so we are practicing working together and learning that we are all unique and wonderful. This week the kids worked in pairs to create a drawing which they then presented to the class. They did amazing!
We have been carefully watching our Magic Christmas Dust this week! We "planted" our mints just like they were seeds and have been watching to see what happens. Today we noticed some red and green swirls! We will take another look tomorrow :)
Today we noticed that our seeds sprouted in our magic Christmas dust! They turned into small candy canes! We will take another look tomorrow to see if they change again!
Our magic Christmas dust has sprouted even bigger candy canes! Our small red and green candy canes have grown together into large red AND green canes!!
