We have started to learn about 2D shapes including the triangle, hexagon, rhombus, square, retangle, and circle
-counting to 50
-number recognition up to 20
We do lots of different activities in both small and large groups to teach these foundation skills. During center time, students are able to work with 4-5 students and "play" a skilled based game or activity to help reinforce the skills taught during the whole group lesson.
We have been practicing recognizing shapes based on their number of sides and corners.
